Who we are

John King, CFA Founder / CEO

John spent 20 years in the technology sector, learning what great looks like and how to implement it.

During a decade in investment banking, John was a sparring partner for tech CEOs and CFOs as well as a trusted advisor to the world’s largest technology investors. He then moved into operational leadership, serving as Head of Strategy for a global software company - leading projects in areas like sales & marketing efficiency, pricing, corporate strategy, exit processes & investor relations.

He founded Peatling Group in 2025 with the hypothesis that - allied to the latest tech - he could provide the same high quality advice to small businesses.

John is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Oxford.
