We advise small businesses on strategy & long-term planning for exit. We are based in Wivenhoe, Essex. We were founded in 2025 by John & Jaime, with the view that smaller companies should have access to the same quality of strategic advice that large companies benefit from, at a price that works for them.
John King, CFA Founder / CEO
John spent 20 years in the technology sector, learning what great looks like and how to implement it.
During a decade in investment banking, John was a sparring partner for tech CEOs and CFOs as well as a trusted advisor to the world’s largest technology investors. He then moved into operational leadership, serving as Head of Strategy for a global software company - leading projects in areas like sales & marketing efficiency, pricing, corporate strategy & investor relations. He also ran the process for selling the business - resulting in an exit of over £1bn.
He founded Peatling Group in 2025 with the hypothesis that - allied to the latest tech - he could provide the same high quality advice to small businesses.
John is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Oxford.
Jaime Tung, Head of Business Affairs & Marketing
Jaime is an adept salesperson and marketeer: whether it's a social media refresh or an exploration into new sales channels, her creativity and personable approach help companies think outside the box.
As Head of Business Affairs and Company Secretary in her previous role, Jaime also brings to the consultancy an in-depth knowledge of corporate governance and contract negotiation.
